Marketing Goals What Are They?

  1. Your business goals and marketing goals must fit with each other.
  2. Measurable marketing goals should be set.
  3. Marketing strategies that you implement will help you achieve your marketing goals.

Check your goals and see if they are realistic, specific, and measurable? You must be realistic in the goals you set for your business. You must be specific in the goals you set for your business. Last, you must be able to measure your goals as you move through the process of reaching your goals. Above all you must be flexible in your strategies. If you see that a particular strategy that is not measuring up to what you want or need to see to reach your goal, you will have to evaluate and change strategies. Remember, your goal is to reach your goals.

How do you set marketing goals? Marketing goals will most likely deal with several different elements of you business. Some of the areas you may want to target are:

  1. Increased sales
  2. Increases awareness of you business
  3. Increased visitors to your web site
  4. Increased stickability of your site
  5. Get more repeat clients

The list can go on for pages; these are just a few of what you might want to do with your business.

The first thing you need to do is brainstorm. What do you really want out of your business the next 6 months to a year? Then write down three things:

  1. What is your goal?
  2. What strategy will you use to achieve your goal?
  3. How will you measure your progress?

How do you measure marketing goals? You should expect a specific response to your marketing strategies. Record results from your marketing campaign in increments; this can be done weekly, monthly, quarterly, or even yearly. What ever time frame you decide on make sure that you check at the same time every time you check your results.
